There is something wrong between Sameer and Zehra as they enter the lift. The lift continues its ascent in their wishful silence. They are just about to talk when they encounter a tragic accident. Sameer, in his subconscious state at the hospital, recalls how he had shown Zehra his script and she questioned about the male protagonist always suffering in his stories, to which Sameer answers that he doesn’t want girls to suffer in what he writes.
This wakes him up with a transient brain injury and while getting up in pain, he hears her wife’s voice scribbling tidbits of her memory with the doctor. Sameer also has lost memories but he remembers Zehra, who has lost her recent memory.
Zehra enters the house to start a new, unfamiliar life. Seeing the packed bags, Zehra is puzzled about all this and asks Sameer to sleep outside. The next morning, Sameer sees her out in the garden, who tells him that she is trying to pick pieces of an unsolvable puzzle. For a change, they decide to have coffee outside and share their experience of how they felt after gaining consciousness after the accident.
The next day, Zehra finds out some antidepressants and asks Sameer about them. This makes him recall their problematic married life. While reading Sameer’s scripts, Zehra gets her hands on their divorce papers and blames Sameer for leaving her in the past. They end up fighting.
The lawyer tells Zehra that she herself got the divorce papers made. Zehra recalls how Sameer held on to her during the accident and talks it out with him. In the end, Sameer tells Zehra that even he has unclear memories but he clearly knows what he wants. Listening to this, Zehra wears his ring on her finger.
