The police can’t believe their luck when they arrest the wanted Burka Gang. But all is not what it seems when the captured gang members are revealed to be upcoming fast bowler Ammar Saleem and his friend.
We rewind to see Ammar’s story, who despite being a lightning-fast bowler, lacks confidence in his ability to speak English. Panicking during a post-match interview, he is unable to respond properly in English and faints. The video of his fainting episode goes viral and he is ridiculed online. In an attempt to save himself from further embarrassment, his friend suggests that Ammar takes English classes at an academy. Ammar agrees to go, but only if he disguises himself by wearing a burqa. But one of the students at the academy accidentally discovers that it is Ammar Saleem under the burqa and takes a photo of him on her phone. Panicking, Ammar snatches the phone and runs off and is promptly arrested outside the academy with his friend by the police, who believe the pair to be the Burqa Gang.
Back at the station, the police believe Ammar but make fun of him for resorting to such extreme measures to disguise himself. This triggers Ammar, who gives an impassioned speech about the hard work it has taken to get where he is today. The police tell him that he needs not to worry about English or Urdu, but should instead speak to the world by doing what he does best – bowling. The police release him and in return, he helps the police apprehend a notorious match-fixer.
Ammar’s amazing performance wins the Pakistan cricket team an important series and during the post-match interview, he expresses his jubilance in Urdu, concluding that one should speak to their people in their native tongue.
